Company: Dar Al Handasah
As a Design Architect at Dar Al Handasah in Beirut, I led the development of the parametric design model for a pair of twin towers in Qatar, inspired by the traditional crossed swords symbol. These towers, designed to house 5-star and 6-star hotels, required a balance between cultural symbolism and architectural innovation. My role focused on creating a parametric model that allowed for precise control over the building form, ensuring both aesthetic and structural efficiency.
In addition to form development, I worked on optimizing the façade system through typicality analysis, reducing complexity while maintaining design intent. By leveraging Grasshopper and advanced computational techniques, I helped refine the building’s performance, optimize panel arrangements, and assess cost implications. The project also explored kinetic design elements, pushing the boundaries of dynamic architecture in high-end hospitality design.
