Company: Dar Al Handasah
As a Design Architect at Dar Al Handasah in Cairo, I contributed to the concept design phase of the Central Business District in Egypt’s new capital. My role spanned both the first and second phases of the project, focusing on program development, massing, architectural character, and master planning. By introducing computational design methods, I helped automate the massing process, enabling the seamless translation of architectural area programs into massing studies. This automation significantly improved efficiency, allowing for the rapid exploration of multiple design options while maintaining alignment with project requirements.

Beyond urban massing, I played a key role in designing leisure facilities, particularly an inviting restaurant area integrated into the heart of the central park. Computational design was not just a tool but a driving force behind the project, fostering an iterative and dynamic workflow where each design phase informed the next. This approach ensured a cohesive urban fabric that balanced functionality, aesthetics, and efficiency, reinforcing the project’s vision of a vibrant and well-planned business district.
